The Academy of Ultrasound is working on their accreditation, as a Diagnostic Medical Sonography institution, at the current time.
We are currently in the application stage of institutional accrediting.  We have chosen ABHES to accredit the Academy, as the body to accredit health education schools, including Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound.   Once accreditation is received for the Academy of Ultrasound  then our sonography programs can be approved through CAAHEP.
JRC-DMS advises in their diagnostic medical sonography guidelines that "if the program is accredited anytime during an academic program, even just before the class graduates, the class can sit for the ARDMS exams as a graduate of an accredited program".

Can you sit for the national registry after completing your program from Academy of Ultrasound?

Absolutely!  Don't let anyone tell you differently, your program will qualify you to take the national registry upon graduation.  Click here to see our special report for complete info.
Still confused on the topic of "accredited vs non accredited" schools and what is required for employment?  Take a look at our new report "ULTRASOUND PROGRAM ACCREDITATION AND THE REGISTRY"
